BETHAL'S OLYMPIC DAY

Our Bethal Olympians had a fun filled day. The Opening Ceremony rocked with our School Band and our Music Tutors performing.

It was great to see all the parents participating in the activities too.

 

 

Excursion al museo - National Gallery of Victoria

On Tuesday the 9th of August, grades 5&6 visited the National Gallery of Victoria.
After visiting some of the main Spanish artwork, students had the opportunity to work in the art studio. In groups, they had to make a 3D  guitar like Picasso's using different types of paper. 

El martes 9 de agosto, los estudiantes de grado 5 y 6 visitaron la galería de arte. Los estudiantes visitaron diferentes obras de arte procedentes de varios países hispanohablantes y tuvieron la oportunidad de trabajar en el estudio. En grupos tuvieron que crear una guitarra de cartón. Tenían que basarse en el estilo cubista de Picasso. 

EL DIA DEL LIBRO/ BOOK DAY

We celebrated EL DIA DEL LIBRO and learnt about Cervantes' famous DON QUIJOTE.

The library was open at lunch time to enjoy the pleasures of reading!

SPANISH WRITING COMPETITION

Congratulations to Anshika Handa and Jamil Haddad for winning a prize in the Spanish Writing Competition. 16 different schools across Melbourne participated with more than 300 entries.

Anshika attended the Awards Ceremony with her family last Saturday. We had a great time!
